As a young teenager, drummer Dave McBride’s kit consisted of an
old kick and snare drum that he brought home from highschool (pretending he was
practicing for the school band). He added anything else that made a sound, like
metal objects on a metal table for cymbals. That abruptly stopped when
his mother saw the dents in her table!! Then he fell in love with “ Jade” his
first autoharp and played bluegrass throughout southern Ontario for ten years,
including a stint on the upright bass. And then life, career, children
and a move to B.C. put an end to music for a while. However, the love of music
was always alive within him and when he met Sally in 1997, the pair started to
jam together......That same year, Dave became the sound man and harmonica
player for the Evans Sister’s duo performances. And he dusted off his autoharp
and put together his own solo show that features roots, bluegrass ,country and
rock tunes. In 2004, he pulled out his
drumsticks and has been keeping the beat for the Evans Sisters band “The
Top Dawgs” ever since! A very talented musician and vocalist,Dave loves sharing
the stage with his fellow Dawgs and often says, “I have the best drumming gig
in the world as I get to watch a couple of beautiful women perform at every
show!”

Dave Evans
A smooth and versatile bass player, Dave started out in the music scene as young teen in his hometown of Kelowna.........His first band was called the Mourning Souls ( with local Kelowna boys- Randy Spence, Nick and Alex Stefanoff ) --------------- and they recorded their original tunes “ All I need is You” and “ Kelowna Town” on a vinyl 45 back in the late 60’s! The next decade saw Dave playing bass in the popular dance band, Hombre. He shared the stage with awesome Kelowna musicians and great friends - Brian Baran,Kirk Frankin and Randy Spence-----------------And then the 80’s found him entertaining Kamloops fans with the country rock sound of “ Harrison” - with the very talented Dave Dyke, Joe Harrison and Ron Corea).......Life took Dave to Calgary where he took a extended hiatus from playing but his move home to British Columbia brought him close enough to his sisters, Sally and Megan, that once again he picked up his bass “Precious” and started thumping. Dave is very happy to be back on stage and performing Rock and Country and The Everly Brothers Tribute Show with his little sisters and the other Dawgs !

Charlie Veaudry
Charlie’s
first stage experience came at the age of 12, playing The Ventures’ 1960s hit, Walk
Don’t Run as one half of a guitar duo with his buddy. Playing the folk/rock
music of the late 60’s and 70’s just became something Charlie liked to do and
so through his teens twenties he played with cover bands around the Upper
Ottawa Valley.
His music
focus changed when he became a father to Jessie and Megan, his daughters that
he loves so much. Folk and rock took a back seat to the music of Fred Penner,
Sharon Lois and Brahm!
In 1998,
Charlie met up with Okanagan bluegrass musicians from String Loaded. He and several
members went on to form Canadian Whitewater recording a CD and touring the
Pacific Northwest.
The long
hours on the road was not conducive to family life and Charlie decided
that playing with local musicians could fulfill his heart’s desire for music.
One of his projects includes local bluegrass/folk crossover band, Freshly
Picked.
After 10
years of bluegrass, it’s time to return to his musical roots and now as a lead
and rhythm guitarist with the Evan’s Sisters’ Top Dawgs, Charlie is having a whole
lot of fun re-visiting timeless classics that just seem to get better with
every passing year. In Charlie’s words, “I really enjoy the energy Sal and
Megan bring to the stage. They know how to keep the audience entertained with
their high-energy show. Their compelling sibling harmonies have been melting
hearts for years and now I am pleased and honoured to be part of their show.”
